POSITION SUMMARY:

Position Summary

Under minimal (Mechanic?A) or limited (Mechanic?B) supervision, the A&P Mechanic performs maintenance, repair, and modification on corporate, VVIP, or government aircraft. This includes airframes, engines, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, structural components, and sub-systems—ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations and company standards King Aerospace+3King Aerospace+3King Aerospace+3.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and modify aircraft structures, surfaces, and control systems King Aerospace

• Perform maintenance on engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, fuel systems, wheels/tires, and batteries King AerospaceKing Aerospace

• Read and interpret OEM technical manuals, FAA airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and company procedures King Aerospace

• Complete discrepancy logs, FAA-required forms, work orders, MISA documentation, and logbooks King Aerospace

• Comply with all OSHA, FAA, and safety regulations; use required safety equipment at all times King Aerospace

• Assist and mentor less experienced technicians (especially Mechanic A candidates) King Aerospace 

Qualifications

• Certification: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required King Aerospace

• Education: High school diploma or GED required King Aerospace

• Experience:

  • Mechanic A (Level I): Minimum 6 years’ experience servicing aircraft similar in type King Aerospace

  • Mechanic B (Level?II): Minimum 3 years of applicable experience on similar aircraft systems King Aerospace

• Valid state driver’s license

• Basic math skills, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, aviation MIS) King Aerospace 

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Environment: High noise levels, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, weather, and occasional high-altitude work; possible exposure to explosives and vibration King

• Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting of 50?lbs, occasional lifts up to 100?lbs; standing, crawling, climbing, use of hands, hearing, and vision care required

Preferred Qualifications (Advantages)

• U.S. military technical training or experience in tactical aircraft maintenance

• Experience working on Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), VVIP, or ISR aircraft

• Engine run certification; Red “X” designation eligibility (Mechanic?B) King

• Ability to meet travel/deployment requirements for select military or government assignments
