Join our team as an activities Director at Glen Park at Long beach!

Glen Park at Long Beach is currently seeking for compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Director to plan and lead meaningful programs that promote engagement, independence, and joy for our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities Designs and conducts activities for residents that encourage continued social functioning and continued independence in activities daily.

Ensures programs incorporate the following focus areas:

• Social Engagement:  Group discussions, current events, bingo arts and crafts, period music, pet care, and more.
• Daily Living Skills:  Activities promoting independent functioning, such as walks in the building, morning and afternoon snacks, breakfast out & lunch out.
• Leisure and Hobbies:  Activities that encourage personal interests and involvement with other residents, such as card games, bowling, movie matinees, and gardening and other resident driven activities.
• Physical Activities : Develop and maintain strength, coordination and range of motion, such as Velcro games, dancing, and exercise.
• Education:  Safety presentations, includes continued learning and interest. Such as police/fire department safety lectures, travel presentations, and bible stud.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• At least one year of related experience preferred with seniors of individuals with memory impairment is a  plus.
• Valid Driver License
• Current training in Basic First Aid and CPR.
• Must have the compassion, energy, and communication skills necessary to work effectively with seniors, their families, and our team.

Available Shift:

Tuesday - Friday
9am-5:30pm Weekends may require

Job Type:  Full-time 
Pay: $21-24/hour
