Job Description: The AI Ethics Policy Analyst develops and implements policies supporting ethical and responsible AI practices across the Department of Defense. This role collaborates across working groups and governance bodies to advance AI initiatives in compliance with federal and defense mandates.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Draft and maintain RAI policies, SOPs, and governance documents in alignment with DoD directives.
- Coordinate cross-agency working groups (e.g., the Responsible AI Working Council).
- Evaluate and align existing DoD and federal policies with evolving AI governance needs.
- Track regulatory and legislative developments impacting RAI adoption.
- Provide guidance on the policy implications of technical AI deployments.
- Develop briefing materials, policy memos, and strategic plans for leadership.
- Monitor implementation of RAI policies and support organizational change efforts.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, or a related field.
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 5+ years of experience drafting DoD RAI policies.
- 2+ years of experience coordinating DoD governance bodies or interagency working groups.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
