Location: City of La Crosse
Salary: $13–$23 per hour
The selectee of this position must develop situational awareness on worksites, learn to work with equipment and tools safely, work toward proper tree identification, perform proper tree trimming/cutting/planting adhering with modern Best Management Practices for tree care. • Requires working outdoors in adverse weather conditions • Perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a comprehensive urban forestry program • Work either alone or as a crew member • Planting/stump removal • Assist in detection of tree pest, disease, or infection • Safely operate chainsaws/chippers/stump grinders/other powered equipment • Operate trucks/tractors/trailers • Clean/perform operator level maintenance on tools/equipment/vehicles for job
