Job Description:

SOFTWARE ARCHITECT SPECIALIZING IN AGILE AND COBOL  

• Modify existing COBOL/CICS/DB2/MQ programs well as batch COBOL/DB2 programs in order to integrate the current legacy Customer Information System with the new SAP and Salesforce products.
• Perform impact analysis to identify the programs and jobs that need to be modified.
• Write design specs for the impacted components. • Perform build and unit testing for the impacted components
• Experience with iSeries, Unisys, and/or other mainframe technologies.  
• Experience with mainframe development languages such as Cobol. 
• Experience with C programming
• Experienced with source management tools including GIT or similar tools.
• Agile and/or DevOps experience.
• Knowledgeable in industry standard software design patterns, development, data modelling, and SOLID principals.
• Knowledgeable in test driven development (TDD) and automated functional testing including tools like UFT, Postman, and Selenium. 
• Ability to resolve architectural problems including scalability, performance, reliability, usability & security.
• A strong knowledge of the relationship between software and hardware interaction.
• Discuss with Mulesoft/SAP/Salesforce teams to understand the field/details required for various integrations.
• Coordinate with middleware Mulesoft/SAP/Salesforce team to fix the issues raised during System Integration testing.
• Extract test data for QA team from the DB2 tables within the legacy Customer Information System application.
• Skills: TSO/ISPF, COBOL, CICS, DB2, IBM MQ, TSQ, TDQ, SQL, SPUFI, JCL, File Manager, IBM Utilities, DB2 Utilities, JIRA
