Job Description

Green Meadow Waldorf School is seeking an Assistant to the Administrator for the 2025-26 school year, to begin in Summer 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the administrator, especially supporting personnel processes including mentoring, evaluations, and other sensitive information.
  • Managing employee and personnel files.
  • Managing the administrator’s calendar.
  • Coordinate hiring communications with prospective faculty and staff, from application to job offer.
  • Manage housing, transportation and compensation for visiting teachers and mentors.
  • Record-keeping for high school students’ attendance. 
  • Generating purchase orders.
  • Tracking teacher attendance. 
  • Writing and proofreading communications from the Administrator.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including: filing, mailing, printing, copying, shredding, scanning and distribution of documents.
  • Act as liaison between business office, and faculty departments for financial transactions, including budget monitoring.
  • Occasional subbing for other faculty and staff as needed. 
  • Other special projects as needed.

Experience and proficiency required:

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites, and a proven track record of excellent writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate should be able to interact professionally with parents, students, and teachers, and possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
