The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Bank CEO role in the Trenton, NJ market. The successful candidate reports to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational performance of the bank and the achievements of the Bank’s Growth and profitability agenda.

The position offers a generous salary of up to $180K plus bonus and a full benefits package.

Bank CEO responsibilities include:

  • Implementation and achievement of the current and future strategic direction of the bank and ensure delivery of strategic and operational key performance results, and outcomes, across the organization.
  • Accountable for developing new business opportunities and sustaining valuable relationships with private and public sector stakeholders to ensure the bank’s continuous expansion and business growth.
  • Providing the mandate and leadership for the Executive Team to work in partnership across their operational groups, to lead and implement continuous improvements in business processes, leveraging digital transformation, and ensuring delivery of customer-centric services.
  • Meeting regularly or as required with the Board to view material issues and to ensure that the Board is provided, in a timely manner, with all information necessary to permit the Board to fulfill its statutory and other obligations.
  • Keeping the financial position of the Bank under review to ensure that there is an appropriate balance of long-term and short-term finance, and provision of adequate cash flow for day-to-day working and in compliance with statutory requirements and reporting.
  • Identifying strategic and operational risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place, and as appropriate, taking action to minimize any actual or potential impact
  • Leading the achievement of the customer service standards agreed annually and ensuring the leadership, dissemination, understanding, and delivery of customer-centric services across the bank.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s Degree required.
  • Ten or more years of experience in the banking or finance industry.
  • Five or more years experience in senior executive management.
  • Strong Bank Operations background.
  • Strong Credit Risk Management and Lending background and experience.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic partnerships, business planning, people, and financial management.
