Position Purpose


The Bartender is the first area of service for the guests before arriving at their tables. It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they leave the bar by providing prompt and friendly service, describing, and assisting them in making beverage selections. Prepare and process orders and payments on the register. As the Key West Cooking School Bartender, you assume the role of tour guide, communicator, showman, decision-maker, memorabilia curator, and foodie/mixologist.

Essential Requirements

  • Create memorial experiences for guests by entertaining them
  • Make drinks to specific recipes
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all spirits and mixers, such as soft drinks, juices, syrups, and bitters. Serve food.
  • Showcase various mixology techniques, present drinks, and educate the audience on different cocktails, ingredients, and flavors in front of a live audience while entertaining them.
  • Develop a cohesive, entertaining mixology demonstration from beginning to end. The demonstration may include using audio and video equipment.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar.

Other Requirements

  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
  • Have a passion for helping people and making their Key West experience a memorable one.

Successful candidates must pass a background search.
