Job Description

Perform repairs on class 8 equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
• Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary.
• Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to understand, communicate, read, and write the English language.
• Must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and
• 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires.
• Must have physical ability to climb, bend and stoop.
• Must have physical ability to work while on feet at all times, ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have tools to perform skills for this level
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. 

Pay Range: $16-$35.91/hour

Pay Grade: CTGL3, CTGL7,CTGL11,CTGL17, CTGL18

Body Shop Technician I Pay Range: $16-$24

Body Shop Technician II Pay Range: $18-27

Body Shop Technician III Pay Range: $21-$30

Body Shop Technician IV Pay Range: $24-$33

Body Shop Technician V Pay Range:$25.65-$35.91
