BSA AML Analyst Location Tupelo, MS :

Overview The BSA AML Analyst will assist the BSA Manager in maintaining a Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering Compliance program designed to ensure that the bank achieves optimum compliance with all laws and regulations. RENASANT BANK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for correspondence with internal and external customers regarding BSA errors and omissions (ie: resolving outstanding CIP/RA/CTR/MI issues, obtaining required MSB and ATM documentation, suspicious activity investigations)
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence on all high risk customers timely and accurately based on regulatory guidelines (ie: money service businesses, third party payment processors, cash intensive businesses, customers that have CTR exemptions, own ATM machines and those designated high risk at account opening)
  • Compile, review, and maintain high risk customer status on Patriot Officer software as well as a separate worksheet relating to enhanced due diligence, which will be used to identify the need for compulsory reviews
  • Compile, review, and maintain separate folders containing supporting documentation received from high risk customers and worksheets that give a snapshot of their compliance with laws and bank policy
  • Annually review the sections of the BSA policy and procedures concerning high risk customers to assure compliance
  • Annually review the sections of the Teller and Personal Banker manual concerning high risk customers to assure compliance
  • Work with BSA Officer to develop and conduct front line training on various BSA topics
  • Assist the BSA Manager as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of retail banking experience
  • Knowledge of all types of banking transactions (deposits, loans, trust, insurance, compliance)
  • Good organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret laws and procedural guidelines
  • Ability to interact with other employees, management, auditors, and examiners
  • Basic knowledge of microcomputers with the ability to use Excel and Word
  • Exercise mature judgment with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality about all information
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis including overnight travel. This may include the use of the employee's personal vehicle
