Job Description

Sawtooth Concepts (a sister company of Scentsy) is looking for an Cabinet Installer to install custom cabinets, fixtures, and millwork. In addition, the installer will prepare raw materials for assembly of custom cabinetry.

Hours: 7:00am-4:30pm

What You Will Do:

  • Travel to the installation site and perform installation of cabinetry, fixtures, and millwork
  • Deliver, unload, and stage cabinets and components for installation
  • Reviews plans and ensure all correct components, tools, and equipment are available to complete the installation
  • Manage materials onsite and maintain site cleanliness and debris removal
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with contractors, customers, and co-workers
  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Set up and operate a variety of standard and special equipment such as power saws and jointers
  • Prepare parts for assembly
  • Cut materials according to specifications
  • Trim component parts of joints to ensure snug fit using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files
  • Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels using a boring machine or by hand
  • Assemble cabinet parts with glue, nails, or other fasteners and fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together to form units
  • Sand and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare components for finishing
  • Clean and maintain shop work areas, including machinery and tools, to ensure a safe working environment
  • Mentor and train less experienced cabinetmakers
  • Assist in providing material lists and ordering materials
  • Ensure inventory is accurately stocked
  • Install hardware such as hinges, catches and drawer pulls
  • Restock parts and hardware, unload, sort, and put away materials in the shop
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

We're Looking For:

  • 3 years of cabinet installation experience
  • 3 years of cabinetmaking experience in a production environment or other closely related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a forklift certification
  • Strong cabinetry skills to attain high-quality standards while working quickly and efficiently to meet production schedules
  • Strong knowledge of proper woodcutting techniques according to cut list, plans, and wood grain
  • Experience working with solid surface material preferred
  • Skilled in the use and care of standard tools and equipment of the cabinet making and woodworking trades
  • Ability to read and interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and detailed drawings
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Ability to perform repetitive work
  • Ability to assemble parts with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric
  • Ability to use jigs and templates for the reproduction of cabinet parts
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of wood species
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, squat, walk, reach above shoulder level, perform repetitive manual dexterity, have both arms and legs accessible and occasionally, sit, and crawl
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 100lbs. safely throughout the facility repeatedly
