Certified Arborist to inventory trees

Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: Negotiable upon experience.

Job Duties: To identify and measure tree species typical to Chicago region, understand their typical growth rates and recognize indicators of common diseases and pest infestations. Prescribe appropriate tree work needed to mitigate risk. All in friendly inhouse GPS software. Ability to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions.

Qualifications: An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of knowledge,skill, and /or ability required.

-Two to four year degree in Forestry, Urban forestry, Horiticluture, Arboriculture, Enviromental Science, Plant Biology or related discipline or equivalent experience similar positions desired.

-Current Driver's License and Driving Record in good standing

-Urban forestry experience preferred. Proficient working knowledge of computers, Word, Access,Outlook, PowerPoint.

-ISA Certififcation

-5 years of experience -Education can count toward experience

Daily assessing trees in the city by vehicle
