Job Description

Chef de Cuisine – Italian Restaurants 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team at our resteraunt group. This full-time position requires a passionate and skilled culinary professional with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine and the fast-paced dining scene in NYC.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that showcase authentic Italian flavors while incorporating innovative techniques.
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and disciplined work environment.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in food quality, portioning, and plating standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen in adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor food costs, control inventory, and minimize waste while maximizing kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning, sourcing high-quality ingredients, and optimizing kitchen operations.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s reputation by delivering an exceptional culinary experience to guests.
Requirements:
  • Culinary background in New York City with experience working in Italian restaurants in the city.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a similar leadership role.
  • Expertise in Italian cuisine, with a deep knowledge of traditional techniques, ingredients, and modern interpretations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to train and motivate a kitchen team.
  • Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and cost management.
  • Availability to work a 50-hour workweek , including weekends.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding food and a commitment to excellence.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year (Higher pay considered based on experience).
