Job Title: Community Manager

Location: San Jose, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite

Industry: Property Management

Pay: $80,000 - $95,000 depending on experience + bonus

Job Description:

The Community Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and team leadership across several residential communities. This role blends hands-on management with strategic planning to ensure residents enjoy high-quality experiences, properties meet financial goals, and staff perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgets, occupancy, and overall property performance while implementing strategies to increase efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop on-site teams to achieve high performance and engagement.
  • Provide excellent service to residents from move-in through move-out, resolving concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and community resources to enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute resident-focused events to build a strong sense of community.
  • Maintain property appearance and operational standards across all locations.
  • Travel regularly to properties in Berkeley, San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland to ensure smooth operations and team support.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in residential property management, including at least 2 years overseeing multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing programs, such as LIHTC or HUD.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, revenue goals, and operational efficiency.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to assigned locations in the Bay Area.

Additional Details:

  • Full-time position with regular travel required between properties.
  • Considered essential staff with availability during emergencies.
  • Daily responsibilities include computer work, phone communication, and on-site inspections.
