Job Description

The Concierge performs services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care.

Hours: 24 hours per week

Flexible shift availability between 5:30am-8:30pm required (Mostly evening shifts)

Every Other Weekend & Holiday Shifts Required

Location: Lowell General Hospital - Main Campus

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security, customer service, or administrative experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets patients, families and guests as they enter the hospital through the main lobby, serving as a focal point for all inquiries and provide personal attention to guests needs
• Answers the patient information lines, releasing patient information when applicable. Also routes internal and external calls.
• Will circulate throughout the lobby, initiating contact with customers in order to identify and address questions and concerns.
• Makes “search” runs for wheelchairs ensuring the patients or visitors to the hospital are provided with necessary transportation.
• Trains new volunteers in all aspects of responsibilities
• Continually upgrading all information needed by the concierge employees and volunteers assuring a professional and accurate information system.
