Job Description

Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) Joint Venture (JV) is seeking a proven, high performing  Configuration and Data Management Specialist to fill this key role supporting a dynamic and growing joint venture. The selected candidate will support build-to-print engineering programs to manage and control configurations and baselines, ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process. 

Responsibilities to Anticipate: 
  • Manage applicable plans, reports and coordinating activities concerned with document and data control

  • Train CMDM processes to stakeholders

  • Exporting approved documentation to external parties in the external repository system

  • Secure non-deliverable program work products to be configuration controlled in the IFS system and other related tasking

  • Identifies, with help from the Program Office, the appropriate preparers, receives the data, and reviews the data for compliance

  • Solicits and secures appropriate programmatic approval, and delivers the information to the customer on time, throughout the lifecycle of the contract

  • Establishes and manages Customer Contractual Data Requirements List and Supplier Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRL/SDRL) and build data tracks for deliverables

  • Establish Program marking requirements based on contractual requirements with Legal and Global Trade

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Promoting CMDM principles company-wide to emphasize best practices to remain compliant

  • Conduct configuration control of documentation through Configuration Control Boards. Monitor the incorporation of configuration change items

  • Responsible for ensuring that all program-related information is effectively stored and controlled throughout the contract lifecycle including digital files and work products

  • Conduct audits of CMDM activities to verify compliance with established CMDM procedures and standards

  • Generate applicable functional metrics as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field

  • At least 4 years of Configuration Management experience

  • Knowledge of industry standard EIA 649 (Configuration Management)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to interpret scheduling and milestone requirements


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Extensive experience working with international partners and complying with Export/Import laws
  • Minimum 5 years of Configuration and Data Management experience
  • Knowledge of industry standard GEIA 859 (Data Management)
  • At least two years working experience with FAR/DFAR compliance
  • Experience in a government contracting environment with DoD and non-DoD customers
  • Experience with the IFS Document Management System


Work Location: Fully remote.

Travel: 10% with some travel to Arlington, VA Company office and Camden, AR Manufacturing Facility.
