A Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining detailed project timelines for construction projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by identifying potential delays, allocating resources efficiently, and monitoring progress against the established schedule using specialized scheduling software; essentially acting as the central point for project planning and tracking to optimize project delivery.

Job Description

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) methodologies.
• Work closely with preconstruction, project managers, and superintendents to plan key activities, milestones, and deliverables.
• Conduct regular schedule update meetings to track progress and incorporate new information.
• Create cost and resource-loaded schedules to monitor project timelines and dependencies.
• Align material deliveries with installation timeframes in coordination with project teams.
• Oversee pull planning sessions to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Analyze schedule impacts from design changes and delays, providing updates to leadership.
• Generate reports and statistical updates to inform project stakeholders.
• Visit project sites as needed to assess progress and attend key meetings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large commercial or industrial construction projects.
• 2+ years of direct scheduling experience with expertise in critical path management.
• 3+ years of experience using Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• In-depth understanding of CPM scheduling and current construction scheduling concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of construction technology, codes, and standards.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience resolving project control challenges.
