Consultative Medical Examiner - WA (#R10133)

Locations: Federal Way, Spokane, or Tumwater, WA
Employment Type: Part-time (full-time potential)
Hourly Rate: $120

We are seeking a DDDS Consultative Medical Examiner to provide expert medical consultation to DDDS adjudicator staff for the evaluation of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI),
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Non-Grant Medical Assistance (NGMA) claims. Reviews medical records, assesses physical impairment severity, and participates in disability determinations in accordance with Social Security regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensure/Certifications:
  • Current, unrestricted medical license (any state).
  • Licensed to conduct business in Washington State.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience providing medical consultation for disability determination (DDDS or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of post-graduate specialty training/experience.
• Additional Requirements: No exclusion from Medicare/Medicaid or federal programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret medical records for physical impairment claims.
• Assess the severity and functional impact of physical conditions.
• Provide written and verbal consultation to adjudicator staff.
• Collaborate as a member of the adjudicative team.
• Attend quarterly consultant meetings.
• Maintain compliance with DDDS and federal requirement.
