About The Position - This is a remote position with required occasional travel to the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Candidates within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis are preferred.**
Responsibilities - Prepare financial statements and analyses to facilitate company decision-making
- Complete efficient monthly close, incorporating Milestone templates and tools
- Prepare budgets and monitor performance against plan
- Forecast short-term cash needs and assists company in managing costs and cash flow
- Assess internal control environment and implement process improvements
- Maintain long-term projection models and help company management understand model outputs
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Equity and cap table reconciliation
- Communicate effectively with owners/management on a regular basis to establish performance expectations
Qualifications - Solid working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement presentation and industry tools and templates
- Passionate about technology and able to learn new software quickly
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to organize time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients with minimal supervision
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience
