Under the direction of the Criminal Law Division Executive Unit, Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), you will serve as the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) - Criminal Law Division Personnel/Student Program Liaison who will assist with analytical and consultative support in the area of personnel management for over 425 positions within the Criminal Law Division (CRIM) . This includes, but is not limited to, gathering, analyzing , maintaining information, may make recommendations regarding personnel management-related activities including hiring, classification, pay, civil service testing, position and vacancy tracking, and position funding . Acts as the Personnel Liaison between CRIM and the Office of Human Resources (OHR). Prepares personnel services and mandatory tracking reports for management review and decision - making purposes . In addition to personnel matters, you will assist with maintaining Division’s Student Program that includes but is not limited to, tracking all student interns statewide, preparing and researching various intern school programs, and monitoring fiscal year expenditures. As a member of the Executive Unit, you must possess a great deal of tact and have the ability to elicit information and cooperation from division and department personnel at varying levels of authority. The Executive Unit is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and positive individual. The selected candidate will be working with professional staff and management with only general direction by a supervisor, good organizational skills and demonstrates strong communications skills, as well as the ability to show initiative are highly desirable . Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, Visio, and FileMaker Pro is desirable but not required. Provide on a daily basis, excellent verbal, written and customer service skills ; ability to learn quickly, handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure . Grammar , spelling, proofreading, and typing skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, work independently and as a team, display high initiative, flexibility, dependability, and organizational skills . Well-qualified candidates are cooperative, tactful and have a strong ability to get along with all levels of staff and management; use good judgment when interacting with professional staff, the public and vendors. Demonstrates initiative and willingness to assume increased responsibility, ability to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks with accuracy, precision, and neatness . Finally, successful candidates will demonstrate a history of dependability, punctuality, and adaptability.
