Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• I hold a Bachelor's degree and have over 3 years of experience with DevOps methodologies and technologies. I have had hands-on involvement in projects requiring coordination with App Support, QA, and IT, building applications, debugging build and deployment issues, and writing documentation aimed at assisting fellow developers.

Responsibilities:

• In my role as a Senior DevOps Software Developer, I create and implement processes, tools, and methodologies to effectively balance demands throughout the software development life cycle, encompassing coding, deployment, maintenance, and updates. My daily activities include:
• Crafting and developing tools that enhance development and testing efficiency.
• Identifying and researching new tools and processes to boost developer productivity and driving their implementation.
• Leading small to medium-sized DevOps initiatives.
• Recommending improvements to processes, best practices, and architecture.
• Collaborating with a team of developers and production support to resolve issues and devise solutions for software projects.
• Automating quality assurance and integration testing for projects post-development and pre-deployment.
• Troubleshooting production issues across multiple services.
• Managing and tracking communications with project managers, quality assurance, IT, and Application Support.
• Adhering to organizational processes and tracking project metrics, including financial data and project statuses.
• Consulting with other teams to guide them through the onboarding process for containers.
• Reviewing Helm Charts and Docker files from other teams as necessary.
• Representing our company in discussions and interactions with external vendors.
• Maintaining and enhancing services integral to our software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Participating in a Tier 2/3 on-call rotation to support SDLC services, primarily GitLab.
• Acknowledging that some work outside of business hours may be needed and maintaining regular attendance as required.
