Entry-Level Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist

Looking to launch your career in accounting? Our client is expanding and seeking an Entry-Level Accountant / AP Specialist to join their finance team. This role is a great fit for someone with some accounting coursework, an internship, or light AP/office experience who’s eager to gain broad exposure to accounting functions in a fast-paced, growth-focused company.

What You’ll Do as the Entry-Level Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist :

  • Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports with accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support.
  • Help maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support the accounting team with journal entries and accruals as needed.
  • Use Excel to track, analyze, and organize accounting data.

What You’ll Bring as the Entry-Level Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist :

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent coursework/experience).
  • Internship or 1+ year of experience in AP, accounting, or a business/office role.
  • Solid Excel skills (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUPs a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
