Title: Global STEM Education Advisory Board Member
Location: Remote - U.S. Based
Position Overview RVP Consultants, headquartered in the Washington, DC area and founded in 2011, has been serving clients across North America, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. As we continue expanding our international education initiatives, we are seeking a
STEM Education Board Member to provide academic leadership and strategic direction for
Brilliant Global Competitions (BGC) . This role will guide the educational design, learning standards, and competition framework that connect STEM and IoT learning to real-world smart city and sustainability solutions.
About Brilliant Global Competitions Brilliant Global Competitions (BGC)are international STEM tournaments that inspire middle and high school students to design and prototype innovative solutions to real-world problems using technology and multidisciplinary engineering.
Each year features a unique theme, with national competitions held in 6+ participating countries and global finalists traveling to Washington, D.C. for a world-class showcase.
National winners gain exclusive access to
NASA Space Camp, Harvard, and MIT tour , making this one of the most impactful global youth innovation platforms.
As a Board Member, You Will Be Recognized and Appreciated Through: - National & Global Recognition: Your name and profile will be featured across all national competitions and at the Global Finals in Washington, D.C.
- Visibility: Opportunity to serve as a panelist during the Global Finals, alongside international leaders.
- Public Acknowledgment: Recognition across official websites, media releases, and appreciation events.
Your role will include (as you see fit): - Providing strategic insight and guidance to advance the competition’s mission.
- Supporting collaborations that align with STEM innovation and youth empowerment.
- Serving as an ambassador for the program at key events and forums when available.
- Advising on educational content and alignment with international STEM standards.
- Build all learning activities and competition materials to be grade-level appropriate for secondary students and uphold strong academic integrity.
Required Skills & Experience - Degree in Education, STEM Education, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Proven leadership experience in STEM education, academic program development, or innovation-based competitions.
- Understanding of IoT applications, sustainability, and real-world engineering design in education preferred
- Demonstrated success in curriculum alignment, STEM strategy, or international academic partnerships.
- Deep familiarity with STEM frameworks and standards (NGSS, ISTE, CSTA, or equivalent).
- Strategic thinker committed to youth innovation, project-based learning, and cross-cultural collaboration.
