Provides subject matter expertise in employment law and HR policy, ensuring all content is compliant with Michigan and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and revise existing policies
Draft new policies aligned with current legal standards
Ensure compliance with Michigan labor laws and public sector requirements
Advise on best practices for employee handbooks
Attend leadership and commission meetings to present legal insights
Qualifications:
7–10+ years in HR consulting or employment law
JD or SHRM-SCP/CP certification preferred
