IT Project Manager with Workday HCM expertise

Overview:
We're seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with Workday HCM expertise to lead and manage enterprise-level initiatives related to Workday implementations, enhancements, and integrations. The ideal candidate combines deep project management acumen with hands-on knowledge of Workday modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, and Recruiting.
This role requires strong coordination across IT, HR, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of HR technology projects, including Workday implementations, module enhancements, and integration efforts.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with strategic goals.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including HR, IT, third-party vendors, and other business units.
Track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; ensure timely resolution.
Drive stakeholder communications, updates, and reporting through all project phases.
Ensure Workday configuration, data migration, and integration activities meet technical and business requirements.
Collaborate with HRIS, HR Ops, and IT teams to ensure operational readiness and post-launch support.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and change management protocols.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably in enterprise HR/ERP environments.
3+ years of hands-on project experience with Workday HCM modules (e.g., Core HR, Recruiting, Performance, Compensation).
Proven success leading cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through delivery.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, or hybrid project methodologies.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
PMP, CSM, or similar certification preferred.
Prior experience in life sciences, healthcare, or highly regulated industries.
