Job Description

Position Summary:Janitorial/Floor Team-under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor; ensure effective physical cleanliness of all assigned facilities.  Perform routing cleaning as required.  Inform management of any foreseeable problems with the facility.  Ensure excellent member service by addressing member concerns in a timely fashion and providing a clean and safe facility

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to read and write
• Must be able to understand and follow directions pertaining to the use of chemicals and machinery
• Valid driver’s license
• 1 year janitorial/floor experience preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Perform multiple cleaning tasks to insure effective housekeeping of the facility as assigned and ensure member satisfaction
• Perform routine housekeeping as per daily and weekly schedules
• Mix chemical solutions according to manufacturer’s formula. Follow manufacturer’s directions for use of product
• Ensure all safety and risk procedures are followed
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor
• Ensure proper supply levels of toilet tissue, paper towels, soap and any other services provided
• Report items needing repair to supervisor
• Assist and/or perform projects of a special nature such as deep cleaning of showers or toilet areas
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all co-workers and members
• Attend related training and meetings as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Maintain current stock of maintenance and janitorial supplies including but not limited to: paper supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
