Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications in alignment with clinical guidelines. Lead or participate in crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments, withdrawal management, and behavioral decompensation. Collaborate with Mental Health Professionals (MHPs), medical staff, and custody personnel to ensure continuity of psychiatric care. Perform involuntary commitment evaluations and provide expert input on detainee treatment and placement decisions. Document psychiatric encounters promptly and accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Contribute to treatment planning, discharge coordination, and reentry support for individuals with serious mental illness. Participate in mortality reviews, behavioral incident reviews, and quality improvement efforts as needed.
