Job Summary
The Manager of Reservoir Engineering and Development is a hands-on role, responsible for leading all aspects of reservoir engineering and the optimization of long-term, multibillion-dollar development planning. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of reservoir engineers.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of development plans to optimize reservoir performance.
  • Analyze geological, geophysical, and reservoir data to develop effective recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and methods to improve recovery and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, development plans, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications
Specialized Knowledge
  • Track record of adding value through the integration of classical reservoir engineering with geology, geophysics and petrophysical interpretations and machine learning involving big data
  • Highly proficient in Spotfire, ComboCurve/ARIES, Whitson RTA, Python, Excel
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator and team player
Education
  • Bachelors degree in engineering.
Experience
  • 10+ years experience in reservoir engineering
Working Conditions
  • Office-based with occasional travel to the field location.
  • The position may require long hours and working under tight deadlines.
