Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for procuring goods and services that meet the organization’s needs while ensuring optimal pricing and quality. This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships to support the company's strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify potential suppliers to fulfill purchasing needs.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years purchasing or similar experience preferred
  • 1-2 years ERP experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft based skills
  • Effective communicator, energetic, intelligent, professional maturity, problem solving skills, well organized, sound judgement, great attention to detail, strong work ethic.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers by phone and in person
  • Ability to manage multiple functions at one time
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Handle petty cash as needed
  • Touch type and 10 key with a high level of accuracy.

Schedule: 7am-4pm
