Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Med Device)
Job Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support new product development and documentation initiatives for our client’s on-site team in Lakewood, NJ. This permanent, direct-hire role offers a $100,000 annual salary, plus bonus and merit increase opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the medical device industry or a similarly regulated environment. Strong exposure to technical files and product development lifecycle documentation is key to success in this role.
Compensation:- Salary: $100,000/year (non-negotiable)
- Bonus and merit increase opportunities available
Work Schedule:- Monday – Friday, standard business hours
- On-site in Lakewood, NJ (5 days/week)
Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer (Med Device):- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products from concept through commercialization
- Participate in creating and maintaining technical files and documentation supporting regulatory compliance
- Design and prototype new products using 3D modeling software (CAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting
- Evaluate materials, components, and processes for product improvements and manufacturability
- Support validation activities and define specifications for engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Provide engineering input for risk assessments, quality control, and product safety standards
- Assist in post-market design modifications and product improvement initiatives
- Ensure documentation aligns with ISO standards and internal procedures
Qualifications and Skills for the Manufacturing Engineer (Med Device):- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or product development role
- Prior experience working with or supporting technical files
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (CAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of ISO standards and product development lifecycle
- Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred; other regulated industries may be considered
- Strong technical writing, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively
