Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
Aversan Inc., a leading engineering company specializing in Systems Integration, Software Testing, and product development, is seeking a skilled and dynamic Systems Engineer to join our team. This position involves contributing to innovative projects in industries such as Aerospace, IT, and Digital Health, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage project requirements through the development of Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
  • Support program development by establishing system architecture and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for acoustic, mechanical, electronics, power, controls, and software systems.
  • Utilize a program VCRM to manage system testing and verification planning, collaborating with customers to design verification plans for complex systems.
  • Lead the development and management of system requirements, architecture, integrations, testing, and verification/commissioning.
  • Support environmental and functional system testing.
  • Oversee and contribute to the overall requirements management of integrated system projects.
  • Establish and lead the development and validation of external interfaces to other systems.
  • Contribute to the creation of product and technological system roadmaps and internal research initiatives.
  • Support business development initiatives through writing proposals, white papers, and technical documents.
  • Facilitate hazard identification processes and contribute to the design of safe systems by creating safety requirements.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience in developing system architecture, requirements management, and verification.
  • Proven experience with complex systems containing electrical, mechanical, software, and data/networking interfaces.
  • Experience with Requirements Management tools.
  • Familiarity with military standards is an asset.
  • Professional Engineering designation is an asset.
  • Must have a social insurance number, have lived in Canada for the past five consecutive years, and be legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
