Stony Brook Medicine?s Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are valuable members of our team who provide clinical services to our patient population. We are seeking candidates to work full-time in our primary care general medicine/geriatric office to provide adult patient care under the supervision of the identified supervising physician. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties may include the following but are not limited to:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Nurse Practitioner : NYS license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a course for a Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult/Geriatric care. Certification in Family Medicine with experience in the ambulatory setting is also acceptable. One year full-time working experience in Adult or Geriatric care.
Physician Assistant : NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant. Bachelor?s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited school of Physician Assistants. One year full-time working experience in Adult or Geriatric care.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Additional years of Geriatric or Primary Care Internal Medicine experience, previous experience in ambulatory care. Motivation, dedication and flexibility are all desired qualities.
