Job Overview:
This position will provide pediatric nutrition counseling services and facilitate KidsFit, the pediatric weight management program at the Pediatric Specialty Center at Cooperman Barnabas-West Orange. This Registered Dietitian will provide expert nutritional guidance to infants, children and adolescents addressing growth concerns, medical conditions such as failure to thrive, obesity, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies and overall dietary needs. This individual will work closely with parents, caregivers and the multidisciplinary health care team to provide evidence-based nutrition and healthy lifestyles programming for children and their families. The RDN for the KidsFit for Healthy Families program will report to the Manager of Wellness Services at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
