Position Title : Outside Sales Representative

Website:

Location for the Position : Newport, NH

Travel: 75% of the time in the US and Canada

Reports to : President & CEO

Estimated on-target-earnings: $135,000 - $150,000 per year (base + uncapped commissions)

Position Overview:

The Outside Sales Representative will drive new sales throughout the US and Canada with a focus on medical and industrial applications (e.g., hospital sterilizers and industrial heating equipment). The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a growth mentality who is skilled at solutions-based selling. This position will work closely with the President in addition to collaborating across the organization. The Outside Sales Representative will also have the chance to identify innovative market opportunities and work with the Eichenauer team to move in that direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation : Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Communicates with potential customers to identify and understand their product requirements; identifies and suggests solutions to meet those needs.
  • Relationship Building and Education: Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale. Maintains communication with customers, alerting them of new products and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Understands client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to implement tailored solutions that address business challenges.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrates the functions and utility of products to prospective customers based on their needs.
  • Market Awareness: Stays informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to effectively address customer inquiries. Provides feedback on market dynamics and opportunities to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Negotiation: Leads negotiations with key decision makers to ensure mutually beneficial terms are in place. Negotiates pricing, contract terms, and other details with clients to close sales deals
  • Post-Sale Relationship Management : Ensures smooth post-sale implementation and transition, collaborating with internal teams to meet customer expectations. Provides ongoing support and identifies new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems utilizing Eichenauer’s CRM software. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts as required.
  • Industry Events & Associations: Attends industry events and joins trade associations to generate leads, build relationships, and identify opportunities.
  • Eichenauer Values: Demonstrates the Eichenauer Value Statement in dealings with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience : 5 years of industrial sales experience and solutions-based selling. 5 years of customer acquisition experience. Technical sales experience preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies :

    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • B2B sales experience preferred
    • Proficiency with CRM systems required.
