It's true: The primary responsibilities of the Patient Care Attendant role include cleaning cages, feeding cats and dogs, walking dogs, bathing dogs and lots and lots of laundry. It also means mopping, trash, picking up all sorts of messes and more, so you do have to be prepared to get dirty and love every second of it.
That being said, at our hospital we look for every opportunity to train and grow our associates no matter the position! We train our patient care attendants on surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, administering vaccinations, restraint, radiology and so much more. You will truly be part of the medical team!
