AHRI has an opening on our Government Affairs team in Arlington, Virginia for a Policy Analyst . The AHRI Policy Analyst is responsible for assisting with and providing support to programs relating to all phases of state, local, and federal legislative activity. The annual salary range for this position is $62,500 - $75,000.
The Policy Analyst
- Identifies, analyzes, evaluates and reports on issues related to legislation and regulations issued by state, local, and/or federal governments.
- Aids with the events and activities of the Government Affairs Committee to include meeting planning, organization, and partnering with the AHRI event planning team.
- Under direction of Government Affairs team, drafts website content, articles, newsletters, letters, reports, and technical documents on policy and public affairs issues for publication by AHRI or other entities.
- Maintains and updates legislative database designed to track state legislation of significance to the industry.
- Assists with limited administrative functions in support of the Government Affairs department, including organization of materials and logistical preparations for departmental events and meetings.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience through a combination of real work experience and relevant internships
