Mercatalyst (creators of meh.com, morningsave.com, sidedeal.com, casemates.com, shop.univision.com, and future projects) is looking for extraordinary Product Designers (UI/UX & Visual) to work on our ecommerce sites. You’ll be responsible for helping us blend user experience expertise with creative visual design to craft compelling and customer-obsessed experiences on our current and future projects.
****Fully Remote in the U.S.****
As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for both the UI/UX design and visual branding of our current and new ecommerce sites. You’ll work across the entire design process—from conceptualization and user research to visual execution and prototyping—to ensure a seamless, aesthetically pleasing, and engaging user experience.
Lead the end-to-end design process by combining user-centered design practices with high-quality visual design.
Create and maintain a cohesive visual design system that aligns with Mercatalyst brand identities.
Conduct user research, develop personas, and map out user journeys.
Design intuitive wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for both web and mobile platforms.
Utilize user feedback and usability testing to refine designs and improve overall functionality.
Develop engaging digital graphics, illustrations, and other visual assets.
Ensure that all design elements—from color schemes and typography to layout and imagery—are consistent and elevate the overall user experience.
Partner with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to bring design concepts to life.
Communicate design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, continuously bringing fresh ideas to the table.
We’re looking for someone who has:
3+ years of experience in product design, encompassing both UI/UX and visual design. Experience in ecommerce/online retail preferred.
A portfolio that demonstrates a strong blend of user experience problem solving and visually impactful design work.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Strong understanding of color theory, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to balance creativity with analytical user experience strategies to achieve business goals.
Experience with ecommerce/online retail a plus but not required.
Resumes without a link to a portfolio will not be considered.
