Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

• Salary Range: $135,000+ annually

Responsibilities

• Monday to Friday schedule (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for patients of all ages
• Work in an outpatient setting with a patient volume of approximately 15-20 per day
• Support all populations, with a primary focus on children and adolescents
• May include some MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) patients
• Participate in on-call duties approximately every 6 weeks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, therapists, and social workers
• Utilize evidence-based treatment for psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders
• Educate patients’ families and caregivers on mental health management and resources
• Maintain detailed documentation within the EMR system (Credible)
• Participate in quality improvement and best practice initiatives

Requirements

• Clear and active licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Florida
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred (new grads with strong training considered)
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings preferred
• Strong communication, diagnostic, and patient engagement skills
