Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Bel Air, Maryland. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.

• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic exercises as directed by Physical Therapists
• Assist patients with prescribed exercises, therapeutic treatments, and gait training
• Apply physical therapy modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold therapy
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records
• Educate patients and families about at-home exercises and recovery processes
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Monitor and report patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assist with patient mobility and transfer activities

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current PTA license to practice in Maryland
• Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles
• Proficiency in physical therapy modalities and treatment techniques
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
• Physical stamina to assist patients and operate equipment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Understanding of rehabilitation protocols and safety guidelines
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
