Compensation In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives and equity. To determine the specific salary offered for this role, we consider industry salary ranges, existing salary structures for this job family, background, skill and experience. The total compensation package will be determined based on factors such as position level, experience and other job-related factors.

What You’ll be driving as a Mortgage Loan Originator

  • Generate high-quality residential mortgage production. You’ll proactively source and close mortgage loans, meeting volume and quality goals while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Build and nurture a strong referral network. You’ll develop lasting relationships with realtors, builders, and community partners to create a consistent pipeline of new lending opportunities.
  • Champion inclusive and community-focused lending. You’ll align your strategies with the Community Reinvestment Act and multicultural lending goals to expand access to homeownership.
  • Ensure regulatory and operational excellence. You’ll maintain full compliance with lending regulations through timely disclosures and organized pipeline management.
  • Promote sustainability and cross-sell banking solutions. You’ll support the bank’s ESG mission by practicing environmental responsibility and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships through additional products.

What You’ll Leverage in this Role

  • Industry Expertise & Lending Knowledge You’ll apply your deep understanding of residential mortgage products and lending regulations to guide clients through the home financing process with confidence and accuracy.
  • Proven Sales & Production Experience You’ll draw on your track record of producing high volumes of quality loans and cross-selling banking products to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Educational Foundation in Business Your bachelor’s degree—preferably in business—will support your ability to analyze financial scenarios, communicate effectively, and make informed lending decisions.
  • Mission-Driven Mindset You’ll bring a strong alignment with ESG principles and a passion for inclusive, community-focused banking that reflects Climate First Bank’s values.
  • Exceptional Communication & Relationship Skills You’ll leverage your interpersonal strengths to build trust, anticipate client needs, and maintain lasting relationships with referral partners and borrowers.

What to expect from your physical environment:

  • Remote/ In-Person role.
  • Sustained standing and sitting.
  • Frequent communication (speaking and listening) in person, via email, text, phone or video chat.
  • Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor.
  • Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
