Job Description

Job Title: SAP FICO Business Analyst

Work Location: Franklin Lakes (Remote)
Note: If the candidate resides within 100 km of Parsippany, Troy Hills, or nearby NJ locations , occasional onsite travel is expected.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Business Analyst to support financial and controlling processes, collaborate with business stakeholders, and lead requirement gathering, solution design, and SAP FICO system improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP functional expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong hands-on understanding of SAP FI and CO modules , and how they integrate with Sales, Logistics, and Procurement modules.

  • Proficiency in SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM)-especially Advanced Credit Management and Collections (nice to have).

  • Experience with core accounting processes such as Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) .

  • Proven experience with SAP implementation projects , including full-cycle deployments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Project management experience and ability to work with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

  • Background in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance , or related fields.

Core Responsibilities

1. Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring requirements are clearly understood and addressed.

2. Requirement Gathering

  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements for FICO-related initiatives and enhancements.

3. Solution Design

  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications , including SAP configuration and integration approaches.

4. Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end project activities: timelines, budgets, deliverables, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

5. System Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for SAP FICO processes.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and act as an escalation point for complex system problems.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor SAP system performance, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements in areas such as Record to Report (RTR) .

7. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze financial data, trends, and metrics to provide actionable insights to business leadership.

8. Change Management

  • Support system cutovers, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and user adoption.

  • Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FSCM , specifically Advanced Credit Management and Collections .
