School Social Worker’s Needed in Tinley Park IL:

Contract can start in January 2025 or for the 2025/2026 school year.

Pay :

• $54-$56/hr.
• Weekly Direct Deposit.
• Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k.

School Social Worker Essential Job Functions:

• Help students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Assist students through early identification, prevention, intervention, counseling, and support.
• Develop and teach intervention strategies to help students achieve academic goals.
• Work with family members and other individuals in child’s life to help support their development, learning, and adjustment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social work or a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, etc. preferred; Graduate degree a plus. 
• Must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) 
• Experience with preschool and school-aged populations is preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
