Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal DevOps Engineer - 14949 . This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah, and will support the Sentinel program.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Principal DevOps Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• At least 3 years of experience with build tools and package managers such as CMake, Make, npm, Maven, pip, dnf, NuGet, Gradle or MSBuild.
• At least 3 years of experience building software in C, C++, C#, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python or similar language.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
• At least 2 years of experience using Linux (RHEL preferred) and Microsoft operating systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience working as a software engineer and system administrator.
• Experience with the DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture.
• Experience with container technologies such as podman, docker or kubernetes.
• Experience developing software using Golang.
• Experience with Static Application Security Testing tools such as Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar or SonarQube.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $158,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
