Classification: Full-time employee

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 annual base

Wave is seeking a Social Producer to join the Wave Original Content Team and Social Team .  We are seeking a Social Producer to support episode production and oversee the social media content of a new original podcast/digital series, with a focus on sports. The ideal candidate will have a track record of producing standout original social content, overseeing celebrity or brand social media accounts, programming YouTube channels and podcast RSS feeds,  and collaborating with top on-air talent. They’ll have a strong understanding of YouTube, all social platforms and related audience preferences, and a passion for sports and storytelling.  

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the episodic creative and operational production of a new sports-centric talk show
• Collaboration with a team of producers, video editors, and graphic designers to create the best-in-class social content around the show
• Develop and execute a programming strategy that leverages video, images, memes, and social trends to put this show at the top of users' feeds
• Work with EP/ showrunner, producers, and talent  to craft the show’s unique tone of voice and creative outline   
• Produce high-profile talent including professional athletes and established creators  
• Serve as on-site liaison  between Los Angeles-based Wave team and Dallas-based talent & production team
• Create / oversee cutdowns of episodes for YouTube and social media platforms
• Gather assets and collaborate on creation of Youtube thumbnails
• Copywriting: brand building through tone and voice to engage a growing community; draft editorial and promotional copy for each episode on digital platforms
• Identify, produce, and QC short form social media video content
• Create social media and Youtube graphical assets 
• Distribute social media content on up to 6 platforms weekly
• Create and execute on-site/behind the scenes content around brand and talent, including video and photo of live record environments and curated social content
• Collaborate with Sales/Brand teams to execute live activations and sold/sponsor content obligations across show inventory
• Utilize platform/internal analytics to track performance, understand audience behaviors, and refine content strategies to enhance performance

Qualifications

• 3+  years producing compelling digital content on social media accounts
• A highly creative storyteller with the ability to write, produce, manage, and execute projects from start to finish in a fast-paced newsroom environment 
• Proactive, with the ability to anticipate obstacles and problem solve under pressure
• Strong experience organizing production workflows, assets, and talent schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong understanding of digital media trends and how audiences consume content across platforms
• Highly skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities
• Basic knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio equipment
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
• Experience managing, growing, and engaging social communities
• Experience working in-studio on original talent-driven shows
• Experience creating and executing content strategies designed to market and promote
• Expertise working with multiple social media/digital platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube being primary

This role is a full-time position with a base salary range of $85,000-$95,000/year, and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's experience level and qualifications. Physical Requirements + Work Environment

• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
• The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately. 
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
• Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
