Responsibilities:

• Provide social emotional support for students.
• Utilize knowledge of human behavior social cultural and community influences to create a positive learning climate.
• Connect community school and home resources to ensure a comprehensive system of support for students.
• Develop IEP goals for students and provide social emotional support through services and interventions aligned with ISBEs Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards.
• Conduct assessments to determine the social emotional and behavioral needs of students.
• Conduct social development studies functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state of Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in school social work.
• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws rules and regulations.
• Outstanding knowledge of child and adolescent development social and environmental conditioning cultural diversity and family systems.
• Experience in providing interventions and services for social emotional support.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
