Responsibilities
1. Provides psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs, makes appropriate referrals, provides counseling and supportive services to patients/families, makes referrals to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).
2. Identifies and maintains funding sources which supports the Family Counseling & Guidance Program.
3. Maintains statistical information and analysis of data, develops outcome and measures for program evaluation, program development and facilitation of program.
Competencies
1. Maintains current knowledge of trends and advances in clinical practice and health care informatics, as well as new developments and innovations in hardware and software technology.
2. Demonstrated initiative, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Must be trained in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) and Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT) or be willing to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
Required:
1. MSW from an accredited school of social work.
2. NJ LSW required/ LCSW preferred.
3. Previous social work experience in pediatric neurology strongly preferred.
