As a Sr. Compensation Consultant, you will be responsible for leading compensation for groups within Amazon Web Services' Sales and Marketing organizations. In this pivotal role, you'll design innovative compensation solutions that align with our organization's ambitious business objectives.
The successful candidate will proactively partner with client-facing PXT Partners and Business Leaders to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Amazon’s Total Compensation Philosophy and Strategy. This position is expected to represent the client’s point-of-view in key corporate compensation initiatives and the corporate point-of-view with client groups. The successful candidates will have a track record of being able to distill complex data, translate that into compelling business case, and be detailed and accurate from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects.

Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement comprehensive compensation strategies for multiple functional areas within AWS Sales and Marketing
* Provide advice to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and stock compensation
* Develop sophisticated analytical models to evaluate compensation program effectiveness and competitiveness
* Create clear, compelling proposals that translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership
* Collaborate with regional and global compensation partners to address strategic compensation challenges
* Build and document comprehensive compensation playbooks and processes
• Partner with regional and global compensation partners on local, regional or global issues, and work on a variety of special compensation projects as needed.
• Provide advice to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and stock compensation.
• Consult with business on job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation.
• Document processes and build compensation playbooks.
• Conduct custom surveys with key industry contacts, as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree is required
* Minimum of 5 years experience in compensation, finance, or consulting
* Comprehensive understanding of compensation terminology and best practices
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
