About The Role

Peraton is hiring a Systems Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL.  This role will be full-time onsite.  Peraton has a great opportunity to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) program as a systems-test engineer.  Working to help the military with missile detection and evade technology.  This role spans across several high visibility programs at ASE supporting the software and integration team.

What you'll do:

• Support the Software Integration lab build-out and operations
• Work with developers and system subject matter experts to define new test capabilities and identify areas for improvement
• Maintain and operate ASE hardware in a lab environment
• Understand interactions and interfaces between different ASE components or external systems
• Review test-related documents and artifacts 
• Support design reviews as a test SME for the ASE SW engineering team
• Test and verify interoperability between systems
• Develop test plan and procedures
• Understands software requirements of the system
• Works with vendors to understand capabilities and performance requirements
• Provide hands-on test support for the software and product teams

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Education: Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA
• Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD interim Secret Clearance
• Be able to read and understand technical documents, drawings, and capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities
• Able and willing to work in an engineering lab and be comfortable with hardware components, interfaces, and hands-on testing
• Understand system interfaces, requirements, and interoperating with other systems
• Develop and review test plans, procedures, and understand test readiness
• Software or systems test experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Secret DoD Clearance
• Have experience working in a DoD acquisition project management office 
• Experience with Military Avionics electronics

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
