**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Sr. Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the contract and commercial activities to support the business area to drive profitability, compliance, cost control, liabilities, risk and opportunities.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Develop and put in place commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to speed up growth.
+ Conduct complex market research and evaluation to create business plans on commercial opportunities and establish new customers.
+ Understand the requirements of existing customers and maintain relationships to ensure their needs are being met.
+ Work with the marketing department to create national marketing strategies that align with overall department branding efforts.
+ Build profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
+ Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
+ Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
+ Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
+ Contract Review & Risk Assessment: Review and assess client-proposed amendments to standard contract terms (including purchase orders), CBRE guardrails and flagging commercial or legal concerns where necessary.
+ Contract Management: Coordinate and lead the negotiation, drafting, and execution of various strategic agreements and contract types, including but not limited to fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, time and materials, and fixed unit price.
+ Legal Coordination & Budgeting: Collaborate with GWS Legal and external counsel to handle contract reviews. Request legal fee estimates, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain accurate records in the Legal Spend and Budget Tracker.
+ Contractual Escalation & Approval Workflow: Coordinate internal approvals according to contract escalation policies, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned before execution. Coordinate engagement with external counsel where required.
+ Invoice Management: Oversee the review and approval of legal invoices in consultation with GWS Legal, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budget estimates.
+ Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to contracts. Identify and mitigate contractual risks and advise on risk management strategies.
+ Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with internal partners, including program managers and legal teams, as well as external clients to ensure alignment on contract terms, expectations, and performance.
+ Proposal Support: Collaborate with the business development and proposal teams to provide input and support for the preparation, review, and submission of proposals as they relate to contracts.
+ Contractual Dispute Resolution: Lead the resolution of contract disputes, claims, and performance issues, negotiating amicable solutions where necessary.
+ Contract Administration & Reporting: Coordinate contract performance and ensure that contractual obligations are met, including monitoring contract deliverables, schedules, and compliance requirements. Ensure accurate reporting on contract status.
+ Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management standard processes, policies, and tools, ensuring the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in contract management.
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience with all contract types in government contracting (e.g., FAR, DFARS, etc.) preferable.
+ Experience with both domestic and international contracts.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop contract professionals.
+ In-depth knowledge of federal contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements.
+ Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to assess risk and handle complex contractual issues. Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
+ Must be able to qualify for a U.S Government Security Clearance
+ Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certifications.
+ Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intel Community (IC) contracting environment is highly desirable.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Contracts and Commercial Sr Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Contracts and Commercial Sr Manager position is $140,000 position is annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
