Detailer for Body Shop job at Jay Auto Honda Bedford, OH, US

Job Description

Job Summary: Jay Auto Honda is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Detailer to join our Body Shop team in Bedford, Ohio. As a Detailer, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and detailing vehicles after they have been repaired in our Body Shop. This is a full-time, hourly position in the Auto industry that offers a competitive compensation of $18 to $22 per hour, paid weekly. Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

Inspect and clean vehicles that have been repaired in the Body Shop
Use various techniques, tools, and products to clean, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors
Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors
Ensure all surfaces and areas of the vehicle are thoroughly cleaned, including door jambs, wheels, and engine compartments
Perform touch-up paint jobs and minor repairs on paint imperfections
Identify and report any issues or damage found during cleaning process
Collaborate with the rest of the Body Shop team to ensure timely and efficient completion of all tasks
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years of experience as a Detailer in the auto industry preferred
Knowledge of various cleaning products, techniques, and equipment
Basic mechanical skills and understanding of vehicle components
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
